QUIZ: Could you pass Nevada’s driver’s license test?

Nevada has issued more than 23,000 driver authorization cards and instruction permits in the first six months of a program aimed at getting residents who are not eligible for a regular driver’s license on the road legally.

That number represents only those who were able to pass both the written and practical licensing tests. According to the Department of Motor Vehicles, 67 percent of those taking the driver’s card test fail the written exam. That’s compared to the 57 percent who fail the exam when trying to get a driver’s license. Scores of 80 percent or above pass.
